Rigserv built the very first integrated Driller's Control cabin, with remote brake handle and "wrap-around" console back in 1985. Rigserv also built the most integrated Drilling Control cabins with nearly all conceivable controls within the cabin in 1994. With 23 years experience behind us, we provide a one-stop-shop service to our customers, a Total Control system for Drilling.

Typical equipment within Rigserv's Automated Drilling Control cabin are as follows:

Touchscreen Automated Drilling Control panel, Topdrive/Power Swivel controls, Pipe Handling machine controls, Alarm annunciator, BOP/Diverter control panel, Zone management, Drilling instrument panel, Drawworks controls, CCTV system, Driller's control chair, Choke control panel, Heave compensation control.

The first step to bring the drilling back to a single driller operation is trhe Rigserv Drilling Control Chair. Modern SCADA automation and ergonomical engineering enable drilling and pipe handling to be mastered by one person to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The design of the controls on the chair in conjunction with modern programmable controllers enable the Driller to eperate the Drawworks, Power Swivel, Power Slips, and the Pipe Handling machine etc., in a natural, comfortable yet effective position.
The days of drilling with both a Driller and a Pipe-Handler seriously needs to be re-thought.

'DRILLVIEW 21' CONTROLS

Rigserv's Touchscreen Automated Drilling Control is the new standard for modern rig control systems, improving the drilling control operations by integrating the Drilling Instrumentation with the Drilling Controls using a large screen display in front of the Driller.

Touchscreen operations improve the man-machine interface, SCADA technology reduces laborious and low level monitoring tasks and enable the Driller's to concentrate on drilling. The system is ideal where the drilling operations need to be controlled from a remote location and eliminate the need for a conventional panels such as, SCR control, stand alone Drilling Instruments, Power Swivel and Drawworks control etc. The Driller can access all controls by selecting the appropriate icons on the screen. The layout of all the functions is logically designed for easy operation and use.

'DRILLVIEW 21' INSTRUMENTS

Rigserv's 'Drillview 21' is a 'State-of-the-art' Drilling Instrumentation display. The system perfects the man-machine-interface through the use of computer graphics, colours LCD panels, touchscreen commands and the latest in industrial computing power.
Nearly all parameters related to Drilling operations can be displayed appropriately and according to Drilling requirements and thus eliminate information overaload.

A single 'Drillview 21' Drilling Instrument panel can do a better and more efficient job than any or all of the following conventional Drilling Instruments:

Both Rigserv's Control and Instrumentation 'Drillview 21' systems have a Data Processor unit at it's heart. The systems gather data from actual rig sensors as well as via direct comms connection with our clients systems, and of course our very own Driller's Chair and associated 'Drillview 21' Scada LCD's.

Consisting of a mix of PLC and our own custom designed hardware and software we can offer the flexibility of proven reliability in conjunction with design flexibility and customization to the exact client requirement.

In this day and age networking is no longer a buzz word but a necessary requirement. Our systems allow the distribution and logging of all data from the Data Processor Unit around the rig via fibre optic, and also out to any remote or beach location anywhere around the world. Internet and secure, direct login capabilities are available.
